In 2009, AD Systems began designing sliding barn door systems for interior commercial projects where acoustical mitigation, overall performance and space savings were a concern. The initial product solutions were “office fronts” tailored to the needs of higher end corporate clientele who desired customized design features, such as roller blinds and synchronized double doors. These systems provided superior privacy for meetings as well as overall ease of use. These specialized sliding door systems were quickly adapted for the particular needs of healthcare projects and widely adopted for a range of outpatient and inpatient applications based on product performance. Acoustic Peformance

AD Systems addresses the perimeter gaps that are normally a challenge for acoustic performance in sliding doors, providing independently tested performance up to Noise Isolation Class (NIC) 39 or Sound Transmission Class (STC) 34.

The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) is a civil rights law prohibiting discrimination of people with disabilities in all areas of public life. AD Systems provide ADA Compatible Door Systems.

Finish Options

AD Systems provide a variety of finish options of flush wood, plastic laminates, aluminum profiles in standard silver or custom color finishes, Lead lined, hollow metal steel, flush aluminum or other options possible.
