The FSC works to promote responsible forest management worldwide. As a FSC Chain of Custody certified company, we are FSC certified by the Rainforest Alliance. The complete process from when and how the wood is cultivated and harvested to how it gets shipped to your job site is carefully monitored. When the FSC label is attached to a wood product it provides the most credible link between responsible production and consumption.

Our Environmental Concerns

Forests around the world are under increasing pressure to satisfy the needs of people. Forests are home to many plant and animal species, including humans. They perform the important function of converting carbon dioxide to oxygen. Trees are also the source of the most abundant, environmentally – friendly and a useful material known to man as WOOD. It is the most widely – used fuel for cooking and heating, and it is the basic material for shelter.

Wood Allergens and Toxicity

Some people are sensitive to certain species of wood, wood dust, or wood oils. Eye, respiratory, and skin irritation can occur, and can be extreme in some cases. All woods, regardless of species, produce sawdust that is harmful when inhaled. Because of this, we always recommend using appropriate eye, nose, and skin protective equipment when working with wood. When working with an unfamiliar species, be sure to assess the potential for any adverse reaction prior to starting a project.
