Greenstone Slate® Company is a third generation Hill family business with quarries and facilities operating in Vermont and New York State. The Briar Hill Quarry has significantly enhanced Greenstone’s production capabilities. One of the most outstanding aspects of this new acquisition, is that Greenstone Slate’s “inventory” now includes what is probably the largest reserve of colored slate mineral in the United States, encompassing over 50 registered quarries.

Mold and Fungi resistant

Stone is impervious to fungi and mold. It resists climate/temperature changes. Slate is sustainable, keeping five or more asphalt roofs out of a landfill.

Hail causes approximately $1 billion in damage annually according to the National Store Damage Center. Greenstone Slate roofs are natural stone with unsurpassed resistance to hail. It meets or exceeds industry standards as confirmed in independent laboratory testing.
