Performance

Timber Pro Coatings USA, family owned and operated since 1992 ,has a unique mantra in the building industry, to continue to do the R&D to make our products "safer and more durable with every passing year." We will never sacrifice quality to increase profit margins. Our water borne yet natural oil based wood stains have almost no odor (34 gpl VOC's) and were designed for exterior use and durabiity, yet the VOC's are so low architects are now specifying it for interior wood features, such as glulams and mass timbers. Our stain absorbs better and is more natural in appearance than the latex and acrylic waterbased stains. It does not attract airborne dirt dust and spores like a flammable oil based stain, making the wood much easier to clean. An waterborne oil stain is the best of both worlds, especially when the oils are plant derived rather than low grade petroleum oils most often used by many wood coating companies.

Sustainability

Volatile Organic Compounds ( VOC's) are still the industry gatekeeper as far as determining how green and sustainable a coating product is. Our wood stain sealers are only 34 gpl VOC's, which is nearly odorless and very few of our competitors can match this. Several states restrict the use of stains of over 150 gpl VOC's, so our products can be shipped into any state,and can even be shipped oversea's in containers along with the wood since they are non flammable. We also manufacture a wood preservative called Internal Wood Stabilizer that permanently seals outdoor exposed wood that is Zero VOC and is specified for projects such as log playgrounds, and campground picnic tables where maintenance of a wood stain color would be problematic down the road. Lastly, Timber Pro Coatings contain No Red List Ingredients, ingredients deemed harmful to the user and the environment.
